3D Art Project: City Skyline

Recently, our class has started on a sculpturing project, my group and I have finished the planning and decided that we will create a city, based off the area surrounding the Eiffel tower, where we have a main tower in the middle and it will be separated into four different sections where our group members will have our own area, where we can add things that describe things about us, for example I enjoy swimming, so I am going to add a swimming pool, to my area. We are making this project out of plaster and plan to create the buildings with lego as a mold, so we can create any shape we desire, after that we will hot glue the buildings to the surface, which is already made. We also have plaster pieces made out of the mold from ice cube trays that will represent smaller things, like windows, or cars.

  1. This idea looks great, it sounds ambitious and you sound like you have a good plan. I hope to see how it goes. Best of luck, and I hope it goes well.

    1. Thanks Ferdinand!
So to give you an update, we worked on it, the legos didn't work because the plaster slipped through the cracks, BUT instead of lego we made a cardboard mold and painted it, a picture of it will be up soon.
