Rubber Ducky Squirrel made of clay

I have now started my 3D clay project. I have tried to make a clay squirrel shaped like a rubber ducky but a squirrel. You might ask why make a squirrel, I made it because every chance a can i make a squirrel. In FACS(sewing and baking class) I sewed a squirrel, in 4th grade I made one out of trash, and in second grade I made a squirrel mask for a play. I have made the squirrel and stating painting should I make it a brown squirrel, black or even a red one.

This is a rubber ducky not the basic shape.

  1. Hello Hunter, this sculpture looks very realistic, especially as you added texture to the art work by scratching the clay. And I would be very interested to know the story behind it. Our teacher suggested that it would be an awesome idea to collaborate and connect about artwork with students from other schools on social media. Would agree to exchange contact details.

    1. I have made squirrels because I have seen a lot so I have a good idea of what they look like.

  2. I really like how you shaped the squirrel's nose it looks very detailed and I imagine it must have been hard to accomplish the perfect shape. I was disappointed that your sculpture wasn't made of rubber. Please post a photo of your squirrel after you fire it and paint it. Good job!

  3. I like the details, such as the nose and the hair. A few questions, like why wasn't it made of rubber, and where are the bottom legs?

    1. Rubber duckies do not have legs you should look up a image. I never thought I should make it out of rubber.
